Bacasime Antique is a DocRepair font, intended to improve compliance with the ISO/IEC 29500 standard by providing fallback for Baskerville Old Face that minimizes text reflow in Office Open XML documents. Bacasime Antique is based on Playfair, which is stylistically a transitional design.

Claus Eggers Sørensen received his BDes from The Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and a Master of Arts in Typeface Design at The Department of Typography & Graphic Communication, The University of Reading. He has a background in graphic design and commercial art direction. Though of Danish nationality, he is currently living and working in Amsterdam.
